Where are you located?

 

I’m based in Sacramento and enjoy shooting around our City of Trees and beyond. I frequently travel to Davis and Elk Grove, and have done sessions in the Bay Area. I have my favorite photo locations, where the light hits just right, and relish finding new spots for my client sessions.

 

What’s your photography style?

I photograph families the way I want my family photographs to look — heartfelt and elegant, beautiful and glowy. While I use studio lights for my headshot and baby sessions, I’m mostly a natural light, lifestyle photographer. I make sure to get those frame-worthy portraits, but also make time for the candid photos that brim with personality. My favorite type of shot is a close-up image that reflects the intimacy and closeness of family.

 

How do you run your sessions?


I like my photo sessions to be a chance for your family to bond and experience something a little different from your everyday. The pre-planning consultation and guide I’ll send you are intended to make your session as relaxed and low-stress as possible. We start with whole family photos, then different combinations, and end with fun and less-posed shots. I love for the session to be a highlight in your shared family memories.

 

 

Do you have suggestions on what to wear?

 

Yes! Your photos should reflect your true style, just elevated. Styling makes a huge impact on the final look of your photo gallery, so it’s important to take time to plan your outfits, head to toe.

 

Neutral colors (think beige, creams, and white) on their own or with a pop of color (brown, burgundy, green) look good in almost any setting, and really work to put attention on you. Bolder colors can work as long as they’re coordinated and not a distraction.

 

Not to worry — you’ll receive guidance on what to wear. Keep in mind it’s always a good idea to start planning early.

 

 

Do you reschedule for sickness or weather?

 

If someone in your family is ill, of if I am, we can certainly reschedule. We’ll try to reschedule within a reasonable time that’s close to your original date; as long as it’s within the same calendar year, your deposit will transfer.

 

I also reschedule for weather. If it’s dark or rainy, or intolerably hot (as Sacramento weather goes), we’ll either reschedule or I’ll refund your deposit.
