The birth of my daughter gave me a million + 1 reasons to delve deep into the realm of photography. It is incredibly satisfying for me to be able to catch and record my daughter’s wry smile, her silly faces, and a glimpse of her persona in a single frame — and yet it is always a chase to photograph the essence of her childhood. I want to remember every moment, every new phrase and habit, her fiery temper, her unbound thoughtfulness, and the feeling of her small hand in mine.

I took her out to Roseville for a photo session. She was surprisingly cooperative, thankfully, and we got some of my favorite pictures ever of her.
