When I was pregnant with my second child, my dear friend Maria offered to take a few pictures of me at my baby shower. I had just bought a Nikon D7000 and professional pictures were out of my budget at the time. I remember her saying that she regretted not having them done when she was pregnant with her first. Fast forward a year and a half later, and Maria is now pregnant with another baby, ready to soon make its entrance into the world.

We traveled up north to Lake Tahoe and spent the evening on the beach. Everything was so magical with all the dreamy light streaming in.

A little known fact about Maria is that she used to model in her younger days. As you can see in these photos, she is a natural! 🙂 I mean, I know I don’t feel very photogenic when I’m pregnant.

It’s funny that my favorite shots from this session all happened at the tail end, as we were walking back to the car in the early twilight. Maria, I hope these photos will be a lovely momento of this very special time in your life and in your family’s life. I’m so glad you have these now and can’t wait to meet the addition to your family.
