I absolutely love photographing toddlers. They are playful, carefree, and live for the moment. I especially loved how this baby Superman gave me a non-stop flood of smiles and laughter.

His mom and I told him I had a surprise in my pocket (a lollipop for bribery purposes) and he closed his eyes expectantly. So adorable! I love these faces!

His mom and I have known each other since we ourselves were kids. I used to say that if I had to be stranded on a desert island with one person, it would be her. She’s always been so fun and funny. We have lots of silly memories growing up in school, going to the grocery store, getting into near-crashes driving around in her white convertible VW, and learning to game the system (ha! at least the report card system, i.e., carbon paper semester sheets). Her kids won’t be able to get one past her when they’re in school. But look at this face! He could probably get away with anything!
