For clients looking to document the first year of their baby’s life, I offer sitter and 1st birthday photo shoots. These come after the newborn stage and give variety to your baby’s first year album. Sitter sessions are for babies who have learned to sit up unassisted but are not yet walking (7-10 months). The 1st birthday sessions celebrate a baby’s first birthday by photographing them in standard portraits as well as cake smashing photos. As a motherhood photographer there is not much sweeter than capturing these stages of your child’s life.

I have accumulated a number of outfits from the talented vendors who tailor gorgeous, heirloom-quality pieces specifically for newborn and baby photographers. To make it easy for my clients, I will be posting a catalog of the outfits. While you can choose the outfit at your baby’s photo session, you can also preview them here on my website.

I’ll admit I have a ways to go in my baby boy collection, as I have of course acquired many pieces for my own baby girl. Some of the vendors I purchase through include Cora & Violet and Darling Baby Shop. These all reflect my personal taste in neutral, feminine pieces with a little boho element. I have also collected headbands and tiebacks from photo prop vendors and hand make flower crowns for sessions.

While I am still an on location photographer here in Sacramento and do not yet have a separate studio, I am able to bring my equipment to client homes to recreate the photographs you see here. And we can always set up your baby’s photo session at outdoor locations within Sacramento or surrounding areas convenient for you (Davis, Natomas, Elk Grove, CA).
