Spring Renewal

This last month I surprised myself with a bit of a milestone: it’s a 3-year birthday for my photo business. Three years ago I forged ahead making myself a legal, tax-paying LLC. Three years ago I created my own logo, started my own little website, and began building up my portfolio. It has been an unexpected turn in my life, yet one that was worked for relentlessly and that is dear to my heart. Every photo I take, personal and professional, has a part of me imprinted in it.

This year was to be a big one and part of my master plan was hiring a professional designer to help advance my business brand by redesigning my logo and website. I wanted something truly special for my clients to have as part of their photo experience with me and my brand. Unfortunately, as things sometimes go, deadlines upon deadlines were missed and I was forced to let the designer go. My big unveiling for 2016 was not to be. In hindsight, maybe that was all meant to be, because I have been back to the drawing board myself and I’m pretty fond of what I’ve come up with so far.

So now I present a part of my business that is often the first hello from me to you: my website. It’s fresh in design, colors, and–most importantly–session photos. It’s ready and optimized for an audience of potential clients and happy returning ones.

My first sort of special I’m doing this year, since the return of my website, is a spring mini session date. The flowers are blooming and the grass is wild and lush as it should be. Photos taken in this seasonal landscape will make my photographer heart sing. More information on Spring Mini Sessions can be found here.

Something else new is my pricing structure. Existing clients: I am using a session fee model that is different from my previous all-inclusive model. I believe this will support my overall goal of being a boutique studio providing a full-service experience, from the initial contact of planning your session, to delivery of printed heirloom products.

While there are more gems in the works for elevating my business, I will close this post with an invitation to clients old and new to message me. Let’s start planning your next photography session. This year will be a memorable one.
