This year brings something new to my business, which I’ve been thinking about doing for some time. Motherhood is why I fell into photography. There is nothing that can capture the unconditional love that floods your being when becoming a parent, and photography is as close as it can get. Portraits of mothers and children move my heart, and yet mommas don’t get in the frame quite enough. We are the ones holding the cameras and, with the exception of selfies, proper portraits are few and far between.
So this year I’ll begin offering Motherhood Mini Sessions: a full hour of shooting time and 20 edited, high resolution digital images. Normally, mini sessions are event days where I take 4 or 5 families for 20 minute shoots, and 10 digital images. I am so excited to offer this option in honor of motherhood and all that moms do unconditionally for their children.
These will be offered as an option throughout the year as my schedule allows. So please contact me if getting portraits of you and your littles is something you’d love!
This sweet duo had their portraits taken when the momma was pregnant with her second child. We went out to the Folsom area and took advantage of the beautiful spring landscape.
For a mom and her first child, there is that moment in time right before the only child becomes a big sister, that is so special and calls to be remembered. It’s a bittersweet letting go, when the first one is no longer the only one. And then the second child is born and all this love is multiplied by infinity.
Such a sweet face.
If all I photographed were mommy and me sessions, I would be a happy photographer. An aspect of my photography business is looking out for wardrobe possibilities, some of which I keep in my studio stash. If you’d like to book a Motherhood Mini Session, please contact me to start planning together.
