I have so much fun browsing online for unique and gorgeous clothing for kids. Well, mostly girls because their clothes are usually much cuter. (Having a boy does present a good challenge for me though, and I will be blogging about my online finds for boys and also for gender neutral clothing.) I tell myself all this online shopping is okay because, hey, I need to style my shoots. 😀

I will say that I appreciate photos of all types, and especially the day-to-day photos that document what everyday life is like. I feel that nostalgic appreciation when I look back at photos, and when my daughter flips through albums from her babyhood and young toddler years (being 5 doesn’t leave many years to look back upon). If this is the type of photo session a client is looking for, that’s great! But it is also fun to style a shoot with out of the ordinary clothing.

I purchased this Tutu du Monde onesie from Koko & Blush during one of their sales. These pieces can get expensive, but they carry high resale value (just do an eBay search; there are also Facebook resell groups). This particular model is called “Stop the Clock”. My daughter Doc was in it for about an hour for this shoot. Take a look at how the clothing adds another dimension to the photographs.
